Investigations Division

The Real Estate Investigators conduct investigations in response to consumer complaints concerning a licensee’s performance of real estate activities and the professional conduct of licensees.  In addition, the Real Estate Investigators also conduct investigations regarding licensing and education issues.

The Department is authorized to investigate and take action when someone violates real estate law or the Commissioner’s Rules.  The majority of complaints filed involve the following:

• Breach of Fiduciary Duties
• Dishonest Dealings
• Disclosure Issues
• Unlicensed Activity
• Other Statute and Rule Violations
