Divisions
The Arizona Department of Real Estate (ADRE) is responsible for protecting the public interest through the licensure and regulation of the real estate profession in Arizona. While it operates as a unified agency under the Commissioner, its functions can be generally categorized into several key areas, which often operate as internal divisions or specialized teams.

Commissioner's Office: Provides overall leadership and direction for the Department, setting policies and making final decisions on regulatory matters.

Licensing: Manages the application, issuance, and renewal of real estate licenses for salespersons, brokers, schools, and instructors, ensuring applicants meet statutory requirements.

Education: Approves and monitors real estate schools, courses, and instructors to ensure the delivery of quality pre-licensing and continuing education.

Auditing & Investigations: Conducts financial and operational audits of real estate brokerages and developers to ensure adherence to legal standards. Receives and investigates complaints against licensees and land developers, ensuring compliance with real estate laws and commissioner's rules.

Development Services: Regulates the sale of subdivided and unsubdivided lands, timeshares, membership campgrounds, and cemeteries by issuing public reports and ensuring developer compliance.

Enforcement & Compliance: Takes disciplinary action against individuals or entities who violate real estate statutes and rules, including license suspension or revocation.
