Frequently Asked Questions - Education
Beginning January 1, 2025, as part of your required real estate license renewal CE hours, you must complete one (1) hour of CE on each of the following:
- Firewise: Education on fire safety and prevention in real estate.
- Deed Fraud: Training on identifying and preventing fraudulent real estate transactions.
- Arizona Water: Information on Arizona water rights and related real estate considerations.
No, when you complete a continuing education course, you receive a certificate containing the Course Number, Course Start Date, and Course End Date which you will need to submit through the Licensee Login. You can submit courses taken anytime during your two-year renewal period
There are two possible reasons:
- The course may have been taken prior to the beginning of your two-year renewal period that started after your previous license expiration date.
- Your school may have issued a certificate with the incorrect course number and need to issue you a corrected certificate
Code of Ethics is not an ADRE licensing requirement. If you are a member of a local association, they may require you to take this course as a condition of your membership.
This is not one of your CE requirements and is not submitted to the ADRE.
Only ADRE-approved courses will be eligible to submit for CE credit for your renewal hours
Please submit the Continuing Education Waiver Request Form indicating the waiver type for the 90-hour Broker Pre-Licensing course.
- If you are not yet done with the course, please request a letter from your school that details what categories have been covered thus far in your course progress.
- If you completed your course, please attach the certificate of completion to your waiver submission.
The course credits are going to be based on specific categories. If you have enough credit hours, but a category still needs to be completed, the system will not let you proceed with your renewal. This means there is a deficiency in one of your course category requirements. You can see what still needs to be completed in your Licensee Login.
An Elective credit is a course in the category of your choice.
If you have a surplus of hours in a specific category, it will be listed in the elective category.
Example: 3 hours of contract law taken, if you take a different contract law class, those new 3 hours will flow into your Elective category.
