How to Obtain a License

Qualifying For And Obtaining An Arizona Real Estate License

Original real estate, cemetery and membership camping salesperson's and broker's licenses are issued for a term of two (2) years. License renewal must occur on or before the last day of the month in which the license was issued. Renewals are for a two (2) year period.

Pursuant to A.R.S. §32-4302, individuals seeking licensure through Out-of-State License Recognition must: 

  • Be an Arizona resident.
  • Be currently licensed in another state where you have been licensed for at least one year.
  • Have completed approved real estate education in the other state.
  • Have passed a real estate license examination in another state.

In addition:

  • An applicant must not have had a license or certificate revoked or voluntarily surrendered in any other state or country.
  • An applicant must not have had any discipline imposed by another regulating entity, and have no pending complaint, allegation, or investigation.
